Pro-Series 2.0" - Focus assembly fits Epilog Legend, and Epilog Helix, the Epilog Mini 18, Mini 24, and Epilog 24TT. (see other listings if you have a different model, such as the Radius).

Pro-series includes 3 nozzle tips, with different diameter holes to provide flexibility for cut depth penetration and quality. These color coded tips are easily screwed on and off for different material laser cutting needs.

Improved cut quality on nonmetals, especially woods. Reduces charring by pushing smoke and debris down and away from the cut area.

Reduces cut width with focused air stream that pushes smoke and debris away so cutting process performs faster, thus reducing the heat affected area of the cut.

Saves time on cut parts clean-up. With less smoke and debris settling on the face, side, and bottom of the cut, clean-up time is reduced or eliminated.

The Pro-Series works well with autofocus. Simply unscrew the nozzle tip and back to engraving.

The Mahoney brand focus nozzle assembly fits the Epilog Laser Legend series products, including the Epilog Helix, the Epilog Mini 18, Mini 24, and Epilog 24TT. Package includes (1) Assembly + nozzle set ; (2) Air hose

Industry Leaders recommending Laser Nozzles

Click here for Synrad (metal tube laser manufacturer) to see their recommendations for nozzle air/gas pressure to make the best possible laser cuts.

Click here to read "The Fabricator".  These techniques apply to nonmetals cutting, even though the target audience cuts metals.  Read: "Setup time for a laser can be lengthy when preparing to cut unfamiliar materials. Nozzle size, power, optical focal length, assist gas, gas pressure, speed, and focal length can all influence the process. These parameters are so important to the process that if they are not set correctly, the material cannot be cut."

Click here for article on Laser cutting of different polymeric plastics (PE, PP and PC) by a CO 2 laser beam.   The authors say, "In the nozzle employed for cutting plastics, the gas jet orifice has a 0.8 mm diameter. Its function is to discharge gas coaxially to the laser beam. The extremely small size of the orifice ensures a thin, punctiform and efficacious jet of gas that makes it possible to obtain the narrowest possible kerf width and, simultaneously, high operating speed thanks to the rapid removal of the molten material. The nozzle–sample distance was fixed at 1 mm, because at this distance it is possible to obtain an optimum gas jet convergence and pressure in the cutting channel."

Impractical for smaller machine laser engraving and cutting, however, the physics of laser cutting flow dynamics can be carried over from metals to plastics. In other words, failures in nice cuts on plastics can turn in to successes with the right nozzle and air pressure.  See these metal cutter industry leaders with their automatic nozzle changers.  Click for LVD. Bell Laser provides lenses in all focal lengths provided by the manufacturer, in premium grade (highest quality) and medium grade (value quality).  We provide high quality mirrors as well.  See our other store listings for more information.

With the Pro-Series attachment, the nozzle can be removed for engraving, in order to use the autofocus. However, with the cutting, the nozzle is typically set very close to the height of the autofocus, so it is not advised to use autofocus for cutting jobs.

Bell Laser offers 1.5 inch, 2 inch, and 4 inch focal length lenses with nozzle attachments.  They can be purchased individually or as a combination purchase for all sizes.

Bell Laser offers the pro-series for all models of Epilog Laser, you simply need to order the correct part or tell us your model when ordering.

Each pro-series comes with a premium quality lens.

Customers using the pro-series spend less time cleaning laser cut jobs because the focused air pressure pushes sticky fumes and ash down and away from the material while cutting.  Engraving jobs are cleaner as the engraving has less soot.
